3-in-1 trip: Toronto to Australia, Malaysia, *and* China - $939 CAD roundtrip including taxes (add Singapore for $32)

American Airlines is showing some very interesting prices on their open-jaw flights from Toronto to Sydney, Australia and Beijing, China.
For example, you can fly from Toronto to Sydney, Australia and return from Beijing, China - for just $667 CAD roundtrip including taxes!
*However*, the flight between Sydney and Beijing is not included.
But it does open up some possibilities for booking a cheap multi-country trip, by adding in a few extra cheap one-way flights, starting with, for example, Sydney to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for $178 CAD.
And then booking another cheap one-way flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing for $94 CAD.
All flights for the entire journey (visiting 2 continents and 3 countries) would work out to $939 CAD. Pretty decent considering that flights to Australia alone typically go for $1400+ from YYZ.
There's also a '4-in-1 trip' variation that allows you to visit Singapore as well, for an extra $32.
