Interjet has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Cancun and Mexico City down to $281 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are non-stop both ways.
This price includes carry-on luggage only (2 pieces, up to a maximum combined weight of 22 pounds)
You can also find flights from Toronto to Oaxaca (OAX) for $260 CAD roundtrip, with 1 stop each way in Mexico City.
Toronto to Acapulco, Mexico (ACA) can be found for $310 CAD roundtrip, with 1 stop each way in Mexico City.

The cheapest prices should show up as $3,999 pesos for a roundtrip flight to Mexico City.
When booked with a Canadian credit card, $3,974 pesos will work out to $281 CAD roundtrip based on today's exchange rate, including the typical credit card foreign exchange fee.
If you use a credit card that does not charge foreign exchange fees, it will be even cheaper.
You could also open two browsers, and have one open to the English version of the Interjet website, and one open to the Spanish version, to help walk you through it.
NOTE: When you get to the 'Buyer/contact' page and it requires a 5 digit zip code, you can just use any zip code from Mexico. Such as: 77537 - a zip code in Cancun.
Of course, it's also possible to book these through the Canadian currency version of the Interjet website. But the price works out to $314 CAD roundtrip.
