Air Canada is showing non-stop flights from Toronto to Tokyo, Japan for between $751 and $813 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Overall, this is not as exciting as the Japan prices that showed up a few months ago.
But there are a few interesting things here:
1. These are non-stop flights.
2. There are a couple of dates over Christmas / New Year's available (the date range where price drops rarely ever happen).
The flights are in and out of Tokyo's Haneda Airport (HND) - the one that's close to downtown Tokyo.
Tokyo is a Shinto Buddhist nation, but they *love* to create incredible Christmas light displays.
You can also find 1-stop flights from Toronto to Osaka / Kyoto, Japan for a similar price, in late August, September, and October.
Update 2/5 - These are back. October and November are also available this time.
