Or direct Detroit (DTW) to Haneda, Japan (HND) for $525 + tax = $582
Use Flexible date/weekend search function
e.g. I see July 1 to July 4 round-trip for $575 after tax
Nice one Jerry!
Well this deal lasted all of less than one day... :|
It's amazing how fast the great travel deals come and go these days. It's quite rare for one to be around for more than 24 hours.
Not to criticize your work or this site (both are appreciated), but sometimes I wonder why I visit.
These deals are great, but they're like a "tease" - most people in the work world can't just "up and go" at a moments notice, especially on the awkward dates identified in most of these deals.
It really makes me wonder who are buying these deals... and how I can achieve the financial/social freedom to be as flexible as they are!
It's really just a numbers game, obviously not everyone will get to take advantage of every travel deal posted, that would be absurd. I myself can only take advantage of 1 or 2 of my own posts a year. Okay, maybe 3.
There's also segments of the population that *are* a little more flexible than others of course. College students, those without children, retirees, people who work for themselves, etc.
I've also heard from a fair number of people who are actually now starting to plan for vacations without being destination specific. They just go where the deals are.
Just to note about awkward dates, it's not overly often that a fare would drop just on one specific date. I usually just give an example date with the screenshot, but anyone who takes a look themselves will often find others.
And then there are mileage runners:)
