Air Canada is showing open-jaw flights that allow you to fly from Toronto to Tokyo, Japan and then return home from Taipei, Taiwan for $597 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flight from Toronto to Tokyo, Japan is a non-stop flight. The flight home from Taipei, Taiwan has one stop in Vancouver.
The flight between Tokyo and Taipei is not included, but it's pretty common to find one way flights between Tokyo and Taipei for $100-$150 CAD.
One way flights from Osaka to Taipei are also usually around $100-$150 CAD.
So, you could fly from Toronto to Tokyo, travel around Japan and make your way to Osaka, and then fly to Taipei for your flight home.
