"I'm a travel junkie who's hooked on deals from YYZ." - Chris Myden

Toronto to Beijing, China | $707 roundtrip including taxes | direct flights

Beijing, China

For the next 22 hours Hainan Airlines is offering an incredible deal on airfares from Toronto to Beijing, China (PEK) for just $707 roundtrip including taxes.

There are 4 reasons this is an amazing deal...

1. Other than a mistake fare in 2011, it's the lowest price ever seen from Toronto to Beijing. The typical bottom price seen these days is in the high $800s to low $900s.

2. They're non-stop flights.

3. They're on Hainan Airlines, one of the nicest airlines in the world. (5 star airline)

4. The flights are on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

According to Hainan, this special fare can only be searched for & booked through the following page...

^^^ scroll down to the bottom to find the search tool

^^^ just to make sure this is clear, you *must* search using the search tool at the bottom of the page above, to see this price. I've noticed that even if you search from the page above, and then hit the 'Edit Search' button on the Hainan site, your next search will not show the promotional price (it will be $1000+). So if you need to search again, your best bet is to go to the link provided above, scroll to the bottom, and start again.

UPDATE: Tue, Nov 25 @ 5:25 PM EST - these fares are now showing up as $776 on Kayak for travel in early January 2015, even though we are past the 24 hour expiration time for this deal. When you click through from Kayak to Hainan Airlines, the prices do still verify and are bookable. My gut feeling is they won't verify at this price for much longer. Feb, March and April dates seem to be sold out. Here is a search for early January on Kayak..

The number of seats is limited, and are restricted to flights within the following date ranges:

Departure date range:
28NOV, 2014--09DEC, 2014
26DEC, 2014--30APR, 2015

Return date range:
28NOV, 2014--26DEC, 2014
01FEB, 2015--30APR, 2015

So far I've had the best luck by starting with a search for Friday to Friday flights in March 2015.

Yes, it's true what Hainan says: 'unbelievable discounts at the moments of clicks' !

    Gu: Have fun in China!

Eli: I just tried right now, and it's still showing as $707. Make sure to search directly from the link to Hainan Airline's website shown in the blog post above.

Here's a screenshot of a search from 1:57 PM EST for the dates of Mar 13-27...

Mine showed the $700, but then added another $700 for "fuel surcharges" so it wasn't really a deal....

    Did anyone have this problem?

Kale: Can you post a screenshot? It should look like this:

    Adult x1 260.00 $ (CAD)
    Carrier surcharges 373.84 $ (CAD)
    Taxes,Fees,Charges 70.68 $ (CAD)

You weren't searching for 2 adults by chance?

    Thanks @Chris_Myden --

It was for 2 people, but even for 1 ticket, the starting price (before taxes/fees) was way higher than $260 pp.

Here's a screenshot of the tickets I was trying: http://postimg.org/image/d2eyv5vq5/

Kale: When I try from the Hainan page mentioned in the blog post, it shows April 25th (the return date from your screenshot) as being sold out. (When it's sold out, it shows n/a instead of a price)

Maybe try April 11-24 if you can. Here's what that looks like as of 4:04 PM EST

And just to make sure it's clear for everyone, you *must* always search from the link provided in the blog post.
If you search from anywhere else on the Hainan site, the promotion price doesn't show up, and you can't see which dates are sold out of the promotion price.

Thanks @Chris_Myden - it worked! The trick was, if I needed to adjust dates or details, to always go back to the original blog link and start again.

    Thanks for all your help!!!
