Aeromexico has dropped the price of their Business Class flights from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico down to $590 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way in Mexico City.
You can also find business class flights from Toronto to Cancun for a similar price.
What about turning these into a 2-in-1 Multi-City trip, visiting both Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta? (See info below)
I'm a little conflicted about this one.
On the one hand:
- The Business Class price is about the same as current/typical Economy Class prices to PVR, which is highly unusual.
Normally Aeromexico charges somewhere in the range of $1000-$1500 CAD roundtrip for these flights.
- Winter dates are available (January, February, March 2025).
On the other hand:
- These flights do connect through Mexico City, and PVR is a destination most people expect to fly nonstop to. These flights take about 9 hours, versus around 6 hours for a nonstop flight.
- All passengers need to go through immigration and customs at MEX, and 75 minutes can be very wishful thinking. Often times even 2 hours can be tight. The flights to Cancun have longer layovers (2-3 hours) than the ones to PVR (75 minutes).
- Aeromexico Business Class isn't truly the all out business class experience on short haul flights. Only routes using the Dreamliner have lie flat seats.
Between YYZ and MEX you can expect recliner seats in a 2-2 configuration. Between MEX and PVR it will be recliner seats in a 2-2 configuration, or 3-3 with the middle seat blocked out.
- There's an Aeromexico business class lounge at MEX, but as mentioned above, you wouldn't have time for it.

1. Start with the following Google Flights search:

Google Flights: Toronto to Cancun, Mexico [Business Class]
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
- Adjust the trip length at the bottom to browse for cheap date combinations.
- Look for the dates that are $656 roundtrip.
2. Go to Skyscanner
3. Change the fare type to 'Business Class'.
- Search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
What about turning these into a 2-in-1 Multi-City trip, visiting both Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta?
It adds about $190 to the price. Still a pretty good deal considering nonstop Business Class flights to Mexico City go for around $1200-$1700 roundtrip.

2. Change the Cabin Type from Economy to Business Class
3. Search for a flight like this one:
Toronto (YYZ) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
Puerto Vallarta (PVR) to Mexico City (MEX)
Mexico City (MEX) to Toronto (YYZ)
