Toronto to Thailand over Christmas Holidays - $1246 roundtrip after tax

$1246 roundtrip after tax from Toronto to Bangkok, Thailand wouldn't be an unusually notable price at any other time of the year. It would be a decent price, but not post-worthy.
Over the holidays though, fares tend to be up to 1.5X more, and never seem to drop. At the moment, the cheapest flights around the holidays to Bangkok are $1800 roundtrip after tax.
But Korean Air currently has their flights showing as $1246 roundtrip after tax, 30% less than anyone else. Try December 26 to January 4 for example, on KoreanAir.com

The other nice thing is that Korean Air is a great airline. It's rated 4 stars on the Skytrax Quality rankings, and they've won awards for having the best economy class.
So if you're already thinking of somewhere to go around Christmas time, it could be worth a look.
