Air Canada announces non-stop flights from Toronto to Quito, Ecuador - $547 CAD roundtrip

Air Canada has announced that they will be offering seasonal non-stop flights from Toronto to Quito, Ecuador.
The introductory prices are $629 CAD roundtrip including taxes, which is quite good, about as low as Air Canada has ever dropped their non-stop flights from Toronto to Brazil.
Mind you, Quito is about 3,000 km closer to YYZ than Sao Paulo. A better comparison might be Toronto to Lima, Peru - a route which Air Canada seems content with a bottom level price of about $625-$650 roundtrip.
The new route begins on December 8, 2019 and there will be flights 3 times a week.
Departing Toronto: Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays
Returning from Quito: Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays
Update 3/28 - Non-stop flights from Toronto to Quito, Ecuador are now available for $547 CAD roundtrip.

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with a Google Flights search like this one:
Google Flights: Toronto to Quito, Ecuador (UIO)
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Look for the dates that are $630 roundtrip.
2. If you have trouble finding these on Google Flights...
- go to Flighthub
- search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Quito, Ecuador (UIO)
departure dates: try Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays
return dates: try Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays
- after your Flighthub search completes, click on 'non-stop' on the left hand side.
Currently, I'm not seeing these for December travel. Only dates in January and February 2020 are working.
