ANA and United Airlines are showing flights from Toronto to Tokyo, Japan for $658 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The Tokyo flights have 1 stop each way.
Japan is currently closed to tourists, and nobody knows when they will be open again. The government is aiming to have their population vaccinated by October or November 2021.
The news about Japan's vaccination campaign has been better recently. Japan started off at a snail's pace, but has been accelerating in recent months.
Japan is also launching their version of a vaccine passport for domestic travel later this month, leading many to speculate they are perhaps at least considering starting to allow visitors back in at some point in 2021.
But right now, the best guess is 'November 2021' at the earliest, and no large numbers of foreign tourists before 2022 wouldn't be completely shocking.
So the 2022 dates that are available for this deal should probably be the only ones a person would consider unless you really like to roll the dice. Book legs involving ANA whenever possible.

Google Flights: Toronto to Tokyo, Japan
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations (adjust the trip length at the bottom)
- Look for the dates that are around $658-$683 roundtrip.
- There are currently some limited Christmas dates available departing on December 25th.
2. Go to Kayak
- Search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Tokyo (TYO), Japan
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights
- Tip: When you get to Kayak, you can use the airline filter on the left to show results involving only ANA.
