Japan Airlines and American Airlines have dropped the price of their fall flights from Toronto to Tokyo, Japan down to between $662 and $682 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in New York, Boston, or Chicago, for about 2.5-3 hours.
Some flights are in and out of Tokyo's Haneda airport (HND) - the one that's close to downtown Tokyo.
Other flights are in and out of Tokyo's Narita airport (NRT) - the one that's about an hour train ride to downtown Tokyo.
Japan Airlines is a very good airline (5 star rating with Skytrax).

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with a Google Flights search like this one:
Google Flights: Toronto to Tokyo, Japan (TYO)
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Look for the dates that are $729 or $734 roundtrip.
2. Go to Flighthub
- search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Tokyo, Japan (TYO)
- use the same dates you found on Google Flights.
TIP: When you get to Flighthub, click on '1 stop' (left hand side).
NOTE: Many date combinations require airport changes, which you do *not* want.
