The Star Alliance has dropped the price of their their off-season flights from Toronto to various cities in France down to between $570 and $637 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are with Air Canada and Lufthansa, with 1 stop in Montreal, Chicago, or Frankfurt each way.
Rome, Italy is available as a nonstop flight.
KLM and Air France have responded with similar price drops to various places in Europe through Paris and Amsterdam.
Aer Lingus has also joined the party with cheap flights through Dublin.
TAP and Air Transat have also dropped the price of their nonstop flights from Toronto to Lisbon, Portugal down to between $501 and $565 CAD roundtrip.
Flights from Toronto to Malta are also available for $597 CAD roundtrip.

I've been waiting a long time for this! Turkey has always been near the top of my list of places on this planet that I want to check out (and it's a long list). Fares are rarely cheap though, and usually hover around a minimum of $1100-$1200 roundtrip after taxes.
